The Changemaker program gives you the tools you need to support one another and help prevent future sexual violence.
Changemakers will access carefully-vetted and trusted resources via our web portal, participate in training sessions, and gain the education they need to take steps toward action.
Who is a Changemaker?
A Changemaker is someone who learns how to take brave steps within their life, family, community, workplace, at Brave Step and beyond as it relates to sexual violence.
Being a Brave Step Changemaker is for everyone – survivors, loved ones, policy educators, employers, and community leaders. All are impacted by sexual violence.

Calm Body, Quiet Mind
Carolinas Biofeedback Clinic arms us with information on the importance of and some techniques to calm your body and quiet your mind.
Holding Space
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Jennifer Dean taught us the meaning of “holding space” and how to utilize this technique to create a safe space for those you care about. Additionally, she coached us on how to manage our own judgements while being present and set the tone for a kind, vulnerable and authentic space.
